General FAQ
What is Bendigo Bank Telco?
Bendigo Bank Telco is the trading name of Community Solutions Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited.
Our goal is to improve the long-term prospects of our partner communities, primarily through the Community Bank® network. We have been established to deliver products that complement our banking offering. The idea is to retain as much local spending as possible within the community. The first of these products is telecommunications, and we are able to provide you all your home or business needs.
How is Bendigo Bank Telco beneficial to me?
Bendigo Bank Telco does not claim to provide you with cheapest deals on services. We aim to provide competitive products that benefit the community by splitting the profits of these services with the community. This then creates an ongoing income stream for the community to use on community grants and projects.
Is the 1300 number available 24 hours, 7 days a week?
1300 304 541 can be dialled at any time to report a lost or stolen mobile, or to lodge a fault.
For all other enquiries such as sales, billing or any other general service or support queries, we are available 8.30am till 5.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding national public holidays).
How do I sign up for Bendigo Bank Telco?
Call us on 1300 304 541 to arrange for plan and pricing information, or for an application form to be sent to you.
Why is Bendigo Bank providing communities with non-banking services?
The answer is simple - we want to help build stronger communities. Our bank only grows if our customers succeed and our partnering communities grow stronger. We see this every day. As communities with a Bendigo Bank branch get stronger, our business does too. One way to help communities prosper is through securing access to better essential services at competitive prices. We can do that through having one company that negotiates with suppliers on behalf of all our community partners.
So how does my community benefit?
In two ways - financially and through improved services. Your community will receive commission on every dollar spent by every customer who purchase a Telco product from Bendigo Bank Telco (conditions apply). This money is then available to your community to support local projects and aspirations.
What about our customers? How reliable will the services be?
Existing services will not change (although new services might be introduced). Currently in Australia infrastructure (such as telephone lines) are maintained by one provider but customers can choose between retailers who provide services on that infrastructure.
Who will they pay?
Customers will receive a bill from Bendigo Bank Telco, however most payments can be made via their local Bendigo Bank branch, telephone, Bpay, Cheque or online. A select range of our products and services can only be paid by Direct Debit, however this is clearly outlined in your Terms & Conditions upon signing up.
Will customers be locked into a contract with Bendigo Bank Telco?
Some of our products or services have a minimum contract term attached, however this is clearly outlined in your Terms & Conditions upon signing up. Customers who are not locked into an agreement are able to change suppliers whenever they like. It should be remembered, however, the more customers who buy their telecommunications services through Bendigo Bank Telco, the more your community will benefit. |
