Telco in Wentworth raises $2,200 for state-of-the-art electric bed
There are 32 beds in Wentworth’s Murray House aged care facility; 24 of them are now state-of-the-art, fully adjustable electric models that are helping to lift the standard of care for residents.
The delivery of one of the beds was made possible due to the support from all of the Wentworth Bendigo Bank Telco customers. At a total cost of $2,200, Wentworth Bendigo Bank Telco spokesman Bill Brook said that this will hopefully be the start of many donations in the community. The next project that the Telco will look at supporting is a new Oxygen Concentrator for the Wentworth hospital.
Like Community Bank, Bendigo Bank Telco share a percentage of their net profit to their community partner. The more people that sign up their Telco services in Wentworth the quicker the next project will be achieved. The best thing is that your Telco services don’t change you just get a different looking bill.
Bill is a Telco committee member and happily shares that he and his wife Jane are now saving around $400 annually on their Telecommunications bills, including the Internet, fixed phone line and their mobiles. The best thing is that by simply making a call and using the Internet the local Bendigo Bank Telco customers in Wentworth are keeping money local and supporting local projects.
